Fonette Fonjungo, MS Medical Student Researcher
Stanford University

About: Fonette Fonjungo is a fourth-year medical student at Meharry Medical College and medical student researcher at Stanford Dermatology. Fonette was born in Silver Spring, Maryland, and grew up in a Cameroonian family that cultivated her interest in culture and community. This led to her pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Public Health at Syracuse University. Fonette subsequently completed a Master of Biomedical Science at Rutgers University School of Graduate Studies. During her graduate degree, Fonette was selected as a USAID Research Fellow and briefly moved to Indonesia to work with scientists at Universitas Padjadjaran and members of the Ministry of Health.
