AIMI Center Program Manager

Stanford AIMI is seeking an experienced and organized Program Manager to administer and support programs or functions related to the vision, strategy, and goals of the AIMI Center.

The Program Manager, reporting to the AIMI Executive Director, will work alongside expert Stanford faculty and colleagues to support and enhance our existing programs/projects and create and implement new programs/projects and resources. The Program Manager assists with the development, implementation, and management of AIMI’s programs and projects centered around enabling the Stanford community and broader AI research community to participate in AI and machine learning research, connecting faculty and trainees to new opportunities, and supporting key Center initiatives. This includes operationalizing research projects and programs, project management for investigator-initiated or sponsored research, managing AIMI grants and industry affiliates, and building the AI in medicine community by networking, hosting events, and promoting collaboration and communication within the Stanford community, throughout Silicon Valley, and with national/international collaborators.

Successful candidates are adept at working with physicians, faculty scientists, collaborators, and vendors; experienced at managing a portfolio of programs; exceptionally organized; highly motivated; savvy in developing and navigating relationships across multiple organizations; and capable of working independently.  They have solid business skills, an inquisitive mind, an eye for excellence, and a track record of building effective systems and making sound decisions. They recognize new opportunities and challenges and approach them with a customer orientation and an entrepreneurial approach. They thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and mission-driven team. Above all, they enjoy making a positive societal impact for human health, engaging with world renowned faculty, and developing lasting relationships both internally and externally.
