YOU'RE INVITED!

Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence Associate Directors Russ Altman and James Landay are pleased to invite you to the 2022 HAI Fall Conference on AI in the Loop: Humans in Charge on November 15, 2022 at Stanford University. The conference will take place from 9:00am-5:00pm PT followed by a reception.

Human-in-the-loop artificial intelligence generally refers to AI where humans are involved at various points throughout the research, design, training, testing or decision making process. During this conference, we hope to challenge participants to rethink this phrase and consider a future where humans remain at the center of all AI technologies. AI should effectively communicate and collaborate with people to augment their capabilities and make their lives better and more enjoyable. Humans are not simply “in-the-loop.” Humans are in charge; AI is “in-the-loop.”

Seating at the conference is limited, so please only RSVP for an in-person ticket if you are planning to attend in person. If you have students or others you would like to invite, please let us know. The registration deadline is November 1. The program overview, speakers and registration can be found here.
