Abstract:  
Dr. Middleton will review progress toward mobilizing biomedical computable knowledge at scale to improve health, and healthcare. He will describe a variety of academic and industrial research and development collaborations which seek to accelerate the translation and specification of biomedical knowledge into computable and sharable forms, and make them FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable). He will touch briefly on issues of trust, clinical reasoning, and workflow integration of such resources. Examples will be drawn from his prior research efforts at Stanford, Harvard, and development in industry.
