About the Panelists:

Melissa Davis, MD, MBA - VP Clinical Operations, Nines

Dr. Melissa Davis completed her BA in Chemistry and Psychology at Wellesley College in Wellesley, MA. In 2009, she received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. Subsequently she completed a Diagnostic Radiology residency and a Neuroradiology fellowship at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. Dr. Davis obtained her MBA in 2017 from Yale University with a focus in healthcare management. Since completing her MBA, Dr. Davis has focused her professional academic areas of interests in organizational change and innovation within the healthcare space. As a pyhsician, her core objective is to serve the needs of the patient. To wholly serve the patient requires more than the interaction at the point of care, but rather creating and functioning within a system built to support the patient and providers. This has driven the early focus in her career on operational workflows and improving quality within the inpatient and ambulatory spaces through innovative approaches and new technologies.

Ohi Dibua, PhD - Software Engineer, Nines

Ohi (remen) Dibua is a Nigerian immigrant, who spent most of his formative years in Baltimore and Pittsburgh before moving to the west coast for graduate school. He recently received his PhD in mechanical engineering from Stanford, and is currently working as a Software Engineer in a Medical Imaging and Machine Learning start-up. In his free time, Ohi enjoys partaking in the arts, playing tennis, and more recently, learning the sweet science of hand throwing

Judy Gichoya, MD, MS - Assistant Professor, Emory - Webinar Co-Moderator

Dr. Judy Gichoya is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Gichoya earned her Medical Degree from Moi University in Kenya. She completed her medical internship at Kiambu District Hospital. She earned a Master's of Science in Health Informatics from Indiana University Purdue University in Indianapolis, Indiana. In addition, she completed post-doctoral training in informatics at Regenstrief Institute in Indianapolis, Indiana, and a residency in diagnostic radiology at Indiana University. Prior to arriving at Emory, she completed a fellowship in interventional radiology at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon.

Tina Eskridge, MBA - Sr. Director of Marketing, Microsoft

Tina Eskridge currently serves as Sr. Director of Cloud Marketing where she is responsible for driving all aspects of inclusion product and marketing strategy across Microsoft’s cloud platforms. Prior to this role, she most recently served as Senior Director of Retail Channel Operations across Microsoft’s North and Latin America supply chain, where she maintained responsibility for strategic channel engagement, supporting device operations and planning for some of the world’s top retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Gamestop, and Costco among others.

Before joining Microsoft in 2012, Tina spent more than 15 years in strategic management roles, across diverse industries including retail, financial services, software, consumer goods, and education, most recently serving as Director of Marketing & Product Management for Laureate Education, Inc., an international education startup that was spun off from Sylvan Learning Systems. Earlier in her career, she worked as a consultant to several multi-national corporations, including Unilever, GE and Kodak, in addition to serving as the lead product manager for one of the industry’s foremost supply chain software solutions.

She is an active angel investor, member of the community and champion for diversity. Tina is an alumnus of Syracuse University and Howard University, where she earned her MBA. She currently resides in Seattle.

Nate Yohannes, JD - Director of Product Management & Planning, AI & AR/VR, Microsoft

Nate Yohannes directs Product Management & Planning at Microsoft’s AI & AR/VR engineering group and a member of the task force advising Microsoft’s vision and social-ethical responsibilities for AI Facial Recognition & Video Surveillance. He is on the senior leadership team and a direct report to division General Manager. Prior to joining AI engineering, Mr. Yohannes was a Director of Strategy & Corporate AI Business Development at Microsoft. Mr. Yohannes was responsible for driving strategy, acquisitions, partnerships and complex deal negations with high visibility from Microsoft’s CEO. Mr. Yohannes was the recipient of Microsoft’s Customer Speaker Award and was selected by the EVP of Business Development as the Master of Ceremony for the 2018 Microsoft Business Development & Partner Summit.

Prior to Microsoft, Mr. Yohannes was appointed by The White House to serve in President Barack Obama’s administration as the Senior Advisor to the Chief Investment and Innovation Officer, US Small Business Administration - where he led efforts to manage the United States’ $26 billion private equity fund and a $3B government innovation grant. In addition, he served as a Team Leader for the US Department of Treasury, Community Development Financial Institutions Fund and was a member of the White House Broadband Opportunity Council, and the White House Business Council. Mr. Yohannes was among the inaugural class of leaders drawn from the Executive Branch selected for the White House Economic Leadership Program.

Preceding the Obama White House, Mr. Yohannes was the Vice President – Associate General Counsel at the Money Management Institute (MMI), where he led regulatory affairs with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and U..S Congress during the creation of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform Act. Mr. Yohannes represented $4Trillion in AUM.

Mr. Yohannes received a Doctorate Degree in Law from the University at Buffalo Law School, where he was a Barbara and Thomas Fellow for Human Rights. During law school, he was a Summer Honors Clerk to the Chief Justice of the New York State Supreme Court, Hon. Paula Feroleto, and he was elected the Class Director. Mr. Yohannes was the recipient of the Hon. Green Commencement Award and the 2019 Law School Alumni Trailblazer Award. He is admitted to practice law in New York. 

Mr. Yohannes is an accomplished thought leader and has been featured in leading publications such as Forbes Magazine, and Products That Count, the world’s leading product management publication. He received the 2019 Most Influential Africans in Technology Award by Amplify Africa and Congresswoman Karen Bass. Mr. Yohannes is an Expert for Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Initiative of the Digital Economy.
