About:

Christian is a radiologist with a focus on thoracic imaging. During his radiology residency, he created computational simulations to visualize ultrasound wave propagation in lung ultrasound in a phantom, developed NLP models for the classification of free-text imaging reports, researched the application of deep learning for the detection and localization of radius fractures and texture analysis for the differentiation of thymic neoplasms. In Zurich, he started a local seminar series titled “Applied Machine Learning in Medical Imaging”, currently in its fourth year, which brings together radiologists, clinicians from other specialties, researchers and industry to present and discuss research and develop new ideas.

He joined the AIMI center in early June, with the aim to create computational models for detecting, diagnosing and monitoring interstitial lung disease.
