Speaker Bio:

Dr. Liu is currently the technical lead in the dermatology team at Google Health. Their mission is to reduce the burden of skin disease for everyone by improving the world’s access to accurate information and care. Prior to that, Yuan was at Google Maps where she applied deep learning to extract semantic information from user uploaded photos to improve local search experience. She obtained her PhD in computer science from Vanderbilt University, where she focused on CT/MR image processing to better plan and guide deep brain stimulation surgery. She did an internship at Siemens Healthcare during her graduate studies.
